Doodle Dash

Doodle Dash is a fun and unique 2D platform runner with hand-drawn visuals and a beautiful randomly generated world.

The game has us take control of a stick figure that constantly runs towards the right side of the screen while we jump, double jump, and slide to bypass obstacles.

The randomly generated world is made up of a dozen different environments, such as caves, cities, jungles, and even a moon where we can jump higher. Depending on the environment, our figure changes between running, driving a motorboat, or equipping a helmet and light for safety in the cave. In each run, these environments connect right after each other, and the locations of traps, platforms, holes, and coins are randomly decided. This creates a much more engaging experience than your average endless runner.

Where the game truly shines is in its endless-mode, where a leaderboard keeps track of the highest scores, and the best player of the day receives a fair share of coins that can be used to buy four unique permanent power-ups. If a specific environment is causing trouble, we can repeat it as many times as we want in a level selection-mode – something that is especially useful for the truly challenging environments, such as the sea.

One of the few downsides of Doodle Dash is that it puts your GPU and CPU under heavy load, which can lead to crashes and stuttering on some devices.

Doodle Dash monetizes through ads shown between stages from time to time and iAPs up to $5.99 to remove ads and get a bunch of coins to instantly unlock all power-ups. It’s a very interesting and addicting game that any fan of the art-style or genre won’t regret giving a chance.
