OK GolfOK Golf is a relaxing and simple golf game with both single-player and asynchronous turn-based multiplayer.
The golf courses range in difficulty but are generally not too hard, making it fairly easy to acquire the stars needed to unlock new areas. Hidden throughout most of the courses, however, are also special objects that we can hit to unlock hidden areas when enough have been collected.
In the standard game mode, completing each hole at a course gives us up to three stars depending on how well we did. As we progress, a Championship mode and a Timed mode also unlock – both of which provide extra chances to gather stars so we can easily continue to the next course.
Like in any quality golf game, we must pay careful attention to wind strength and direction. Thankfully, the touch controls are simple and intuitive, with helpful indicators that approximate the trajectory our ball will take after we let go of our aim. Meanwhile, the simple low-poly art-style creates a relaxing atmosphere, and the environmental sounds perfectly fit each area – even the more outlandish and silly ones. I did, however, experience some camera angle clipping.
OK Golf is a premium game that costs $2.99 on Android and $1.99 on iOS. It’s also part of Google Play Pass. It may not be the best or most polished golf game on mobile, but it’s a fun entry that is especially perfectly fit for those interested in asynchronous multiplayer golf.
